Students Sent Back as Over 40 Delhi Schools Face Bomb Threats in Latest Scare

Bomb Threats Reported at Two Delhi Schools; Students Evacuated as Police Investigate

Two prominent Delhi schools – DPS RK Puram and GD Goenka School in Paschim Vihar – received bomb threats on Monday morning. The threats, reportedly sent via email, led to the immediate evacuation of students as a precautionary measure. The police have been notified, and an investigation is currently underway.

The first alert came at 6:15 am from GD Goenka School, followed by a second call at 7:06 am from DPS RK Puram, according to reports. Fire officials, including bomb detection units and the dog squad, along with local police, rushed to the schools to carry out search operations. So far, no suspicious items or threats have been discovered.

This incident comes amid busy morning routines with school buses, parents dropping off their children, and staff preparing for assemblies. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation to ensure safety.

This scare follows a similar incident in October when an explosion damaged the wall of a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) school in Rohini’s Prashant Vihar. Subsequently, threats were sent to other CRPF schools via email, leading to investigations that ultimately confirmed the threats were hoaxes.

Authorities are working to ensure swift action and reassurance to the public as investigations into these recent threats continue.
